シリコン関係者各位、

今日SCTソフトに関するインフォーマルな会合があると聞いたので、
参加してきました（レストラン#1と聞いたが、探したあげくBat.40だった）。

○ Mike Tyndel主催で、顔合わせ程度の1時間のミーティング。
○ 参加者は、下のメールにあるように１５人位。若手が主。
○ 最重要課題は、SCT Software Coordinatorを早急に決めること。
○ 各グループがMike Tyndelに（誰を推薦するか含めて）メールで意見を表明せよ。
○ 新しいコーディネーターは、SCT Steering Committeeのメンバーになること
   の提案があった。
○ 日本グループは、（近藤さんと相談して）
	GEANT4のSCT Geometry作成
	FADS/GoofyによるGEANT4シミュレーション
   に興味があるとExpression of Interestをしておきました。
○ ID(Pixel/SCT/TRT) Software CoordinatorのDario Barberisから、Grant Gorfine
   (Sydney)と同じGEANT4をやっているので協力したらどうかとの提案があった。
○ 晩飯にGrant Gorfineと一緒になったので、お互いに情報を交換しようと話をした。
○ 明日、Dario Barberisと会って、どんな仕事が可能か議論してきます。

日本はこれをやるとまだ宣言したわけではありませんが、SCTソフトに手を挙げる
チャンスだと思います。学生にとっては、修士論文のテーマには十分であると思います。
みなさまのご意見をお願いします。

Dear All,
I am sending you this mail because you were in the meeting about
SCT software today, or your name was given to me after that 
meeting, or you are already involved with the SCT software, or 
you expressed interest in it.  

For those who are just about to join, and are particularly interested
in the simulation, I would like to advertise some introductory
reading - the SCT simulation page. A click on "simulation" in the main 
SCT page will bring you there, otherwise the page is at 
http://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/INNER_DETECTOR/SCT/simulation/
The page is meant to be an introduction into the SCT simulation:
what exists, who the experts are, where the documentation is. 

I would like to ask the active developers to help me keep this page 
up to date by pointing me to any new documents/web pages/facts. 
I hope the next SCT software coordinator will, in addition to his
simulation work, take over the maintenance of this simulation page.
